The menu is classic and well-executed, featuring seafood, burgers, and Swedish ingredients with a focus on doing simple things exceptionally well. The Sunday brunch is a recurring favorite recommendation, and we particularly suggest visiting on a sunny Sunday morning when the waters of Hägernäsviken are calm and the atmosphere is at its best. Brunch is served from 11:30 AM to 4:00 PM and is well worth the visit.

Melanders Täby Centrum
Located in the southern extension of Täby Centrum and spanning an impressive 1,100 square meters, Melanders is difficult to categorize because it is much more than a restaurant. Under one roof, you will find a brasserie, bar, bakery, and one of Stockholm’s finest seafood counters.
Melanders is renowned for the quality of its ingredients, and it shows immediately. The menu revolves around the sea, featuring dishes such as oven-baked salmon, langoustines, seafood platters, and smørrebrød, served daily in the brasserie between 2:30 PM and 5:00 PM. Arrive on an early Friday evening, settle into the bar with a glass of champagne, and then move to a table in the brasserie for an outstanding dinner. It is one of our favorite ways to experience the restaurant.
If you enjoy seafood, the salmon stuffed with morel mushrooms and scallops is the dish we always order. It is a Melanders classic, and one taste makes it clear why it remains on the menu.

Brasserie Le Galopin
If you feel like taking a trip to Paris without leaving Täby, Brasserie Le Galopin is the answer. Located on Boulevarden in Täby Park, the restaurant has quickly become one of the most talked-about dining destinations in the area.
The menu is thoroughly French, featuring oysters, escargots, steak tartare, moules frites, entrecôte, and crème brûlée. In the wine bar, Jörgen serves a wide selection of French wines by the glass, while the kitchen is led by Adde and Christian, both of whom share a genuine passion for French cuisine.
We recommend the entrecôte. Prepared with great care, it is an excellent example of how a French kitchen handles a classic cut of beef. Pair it with a red wine from the wine list for a combination worth remembering.
Friday lunch service seamlessly transitions into after-work drinks with a DJ on the outdoor terrace, while weekends are dedicated to brunch. It is difficult to feel rushed at Le Galopin, and that is exactly the point.

Näsby Slott is one of Täby’s true gems—a boutique hotel with roots dating back to the 14th century, beautifully located by the water in Näsby Castle Park. Lilla Slottskrogen is open to everyone and is exactly what its name suggests: a neighborhood restaurant that just happens to be located inside a castle.
The food philosophy is simple yet thoughtful. Ingredients follow the seasons: asparagus and strawberries in summer, apples from the castle garden in autumn, and house-pickled and cured ingredients during the winter months. Dinner is prepared with a focus on locally sourced produce and excellent craftsmanship without unnecessary complexity.
We love visiting on a Thursday evening when dinner is served in the peaceful castle setting. The atmosphere is relaxed yet slightly special. It is difficult to describe the feeling of sitting in a 17th-century salon enjoying a great meal with absolutely no sense of urgency.
