The fish and seafood are a big part of what makes the place worth visiting. Moules marinières is the classic we always order, and it delivers every time. The mussels come in a broth you wish there was always bread to go with, and fortunately there is. Gambas, ceviche, and chèvre salad are popular orders and are described by guests as strong favourites. The meze culture running through the menu means it works just as well to come with company as to sit alone and work through a few dishes with a glass of wine.
During the warmer months you can sit outside for a long time with views over Riddarfjärden. It is one of the best outdoor seating spots on Kungsholmen, and a good tip is to arrive around sunset to catch the light over the water.

Skaldjursbaren is the more hidden option on this list, but one of the most interesting. It is run by the delicatessen firm En Bohuslänsk Deli and opens Thursday to Saturday in a space on Kungsholmen. The concept is simple and uncompromising: it is about shellfish, and nothing else.
The menu is sparse and changes depending on what is available. Oysters are served with a choice of vinaigrette, prawns are smoked and served in a box, and if there is something particularly good that day you will find out when you sit down. This is a place where the ingredient is the entire point. Nothing should take focus away from it.
We recommend starting with oysters and working your way through, and if the fish and shellfish soup is on the menu that day, it is an option worth saying yes to. It has been described as among the best in its category in Stockholm, which is a claim they take very seriously.
