Corporate housing in Stockholm usually means a furnished apartment rented for an employee for six months to a few years, with the company or the employee as tenant. Most homes are privately owned apartments rented out under the Private Rental Act, which gives a clear contract and three months’ notice.

What is included?
A typical corporate apartment is ready to move into: furniture, bed linen, kitchen equipment and Wi-Fi. Electricity and internet are often included in the rent. The contract and all communication can be in English.
Contract options
- Company as tenant. The employer signs and pays. This often makes approval faster and suits short assignments.
- Employee as tenant. The employee signs, sometimes with a guarantee from the employer.
Contracts can be fixed-term or until further notice. Under the Private Rental Act the tenant can always give three months’ notice, which gives flexibility if an assignment ends early.
Timeline
Plan for three to six weeks from search to move-in. Viewings can be held by video for employees who are still abroad, and contracts are signed digitally.
